Spiritual Journey

Hello, I am Michael Blitchtein. I am a Christian Science practitioner, and I am practicing the Christian healing in Melbourne, Australia and online around the world. Here I would like to tell you a little about how and why I came to the decision to use the spiritual laws of divine Mind-healing for healing purposes.

During my last few years of study at the university, I discovered that could not digest any food or drink water. Whenever I was taking some food, afterwards I felt an unbearable pain in my stomach and gradually vomited any food. That unhealthy condition started with my strong belief of tainted food I had eaten.

Different medical treatments that I’ve taken, including hospitalization, were far from real help, and they did not bring me any relief. As my condition had worsened I became interested in various methods of complementary medicine and alternative therapies to improve my physical health. Despite my diet, physical and mental Yoga exercises, meditations, and other alternative methods, I continued suffering. This was due to my hidden fears of breaking some material laws (Ex. – eating "non-fresh" food, or to catch a virus or cold).

Once when I had taken a treatment in one of the sanatoriums, I met an experienced doctor. That doctor lovingly tried to convince me that though he could not help me, but with faith in God, everything is possible. As I was far from any religious background, it was not easy to me to seek and find a strong faith in the healing power of God. I had no choice, as I believed what the doctor said to me with all my heart, and I've started searching the way to hear the Word of Truth, and to purchase a Bible.

When I graduated from the University, and obtained the Bible (with great difficulties), I was so absorbed in the truths written in the Bible that my faith in God's power began to grow. And I felt immediate improvement in my health. Though I believed in the power of God, it was a blind faith - without understanding. I felt strongly that healing was on the way. But my fears and beliefs about fresh food still had their own place in my mind. Whenever I had eaten something, which, according to my belief was not perfect, I suffered from that belief.

Although my faith in divine power strengthened and it helped me overcome many difficult situations in my life, my physical health still suffered tremendously from my fearful beliefs. Even though I kept to a diet, did physical and mental yoga exercises, meditations, and alternative therapies – to improve my general health – I was under constant fear.

I truly believed that if I trespass the material laws, my stomach could suffer or I could catch flu or some other sickness. Those challenges and communications with the different patients of that doctor helped my heart’s desire to assist other people to heal their ailments. Some of them have had wonderful improvements in their health simply by accepting faith in God’s power.

After the arrival of my family (wife and 2 kids) in Australia, I continued my spiritual search for God's Truth, in order to understand deeper His spiritual healing power and wisdom. I was interested in new age beliefs, and introduced myself to many of their doctrines, which I could not accept in heart or mind, because of limitation the their conceptions and beliefs.

Christian Science of Mind-Healing

After eighteen years of my searching for healing, I felt that that divine power, which I trusted and nourished for many years, is not only the power of hope – which only depended on my blind faith – but also this power should be "a very present help in trouble". Soon after that realization I was introduced to the teaching of Christian Science healing prayer, based on the Bible's inspired truths (or spiritual ideas) and practical healing principles.

I've soon perceived that this divine Science is not only the symbol of purity and holiness, but it is an anchor, holding on what we cannot be moved in the roaring ocean of human passions and diseases. It was a divine revelation to learn that maintaining our mind on the moral principles of divine Mind healing, helps in healing of any diseases as harmoniously and successfully as night yields place to the morning dawn.

Through the inspired thoughts and truths of the teaching of Christian Science and my deep study of the Bible, I started realizing that in a harmonious universe – which is governed by God or divine Principle – there is no place for the existence of any moral or physical law which could give reality to disharmony or disease.

In proportion to my growing spiritual understanding of the truth  that "the power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death"  my physical health improved also.  This spiritual truth was explained in the healing book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures written by Mary Baker Eddy.

Gradually I started realizing that divine Mind emanates and expresses only harmony and health if we allow His pure and high ideas to be present in our consciousness. Any disharmony or disease cannot be expressed through me as my mind expresses only good thoughts that come from one divine Mind. My digestive problems instantly disappeared when I replaced my incorrect beliefs about food with an understanding that my being is the reflection of that divine all-powerful Love, which cannot suffer.

Through my studying of divine Mind-healing I have found that to have a permanent healing I needed not only to have a steadfast faith in God but also to understand Him. I had also known that "everlasting Love" is the only good cause of everything and my body is a good effect, reflection of that good spiritual cause - omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient Mind.

The spiritual understanding of my relationship to divine Love or Mind allows me to live harmoniously and my life has become much more enjoyable. Some of our friends and relatives have also recognized the power of divine Love having received permanent healings.

For the last fourteen years I have witnessed great cures and improvements in different situations with my patients and in my immediate family. After my diligent prayers based on the Christian Science of Mind-healing the following physical healings of my wife occurred:

• a growth on her breast disappeared;
• a painful heart condition from her childhood melted away.
